CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER

With nearly three decades in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Darren Wallace brings invaluable perspective to Hawk Criminal Law. Beginning as a correctional officer on death row and retiring as senior warden of one of the state’s largest maximum-security facilities, he witnessed firsthand the challenges of the criminal justice system, from limited rehabilitative resources to barriers individuals face upon reentry. These experiences inspired him to pursue a career in criminal law and advocacy.

Now a law student at the University of North Texas at Dallas and a paralegal at Hawk Criminal Law, Darren applies his experience to help the team navigate complex legal and institutional processes. Passionate about prison reform and breaking the cycle of incarceration, he combines empathy and real-world insight to support the team in advocating effectively for clients.
